What factors affect the power output and charging capability of my Arc Solar 120 panel?
Solar panels are very sensitive to many factors that affect their ability to convert sunlight into energy.
Some factors are more obvious such as cloud cover and shade, while other factors are less obvious like the angle of the panel, geographical latitude, season, windows or dust. The choice of charge controller (MPPT or PWM) will also impact how much power is produced. The following list of factors all play a role in the power output your solar panel is able to produce:
- Geographical location
- Climate
- Behind a Window or Glass
- Dust
- Clouds
- Solar Panel Orientation
- Season
- Shade
- Time of Day
These factors combined play a large role in the power output of the panel.
